Joseph Stalin was born Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili on December 18th, 1879. He was the supreme ruler of the Soviet Union from 1929 until 1953. Because Stalin, which means "man of steel", ruled by terror, many of his own people died during his reign. People that went against Stalin were executed and sent of to labor camps. Stalin turned a laboring society into a military superpower. During World War II, Stalin and the Soviets sided with the United States and Britain to oppose Germany.

Benito Mussolini was born July 29th, 1883. He founded the Fascist Party in Italy in 1919. In 1922, the country of Italy seemed to be falling apart. Benito Mussolini portrayed himself to be the only man able to make Italy great once again. King Victor Emmanuell III appointed Mussolini as head of the government in fear of revolution. In 1925 Mussolini made himself dictator of Italy and named himself "Il Duce". During World War II, Benito Mussolini made and alliance with Germany and Japan.

Adolf Hitler was born April 20th, 1889 in Austria. He became Chancellor of Germany on January 30th, 1933 and later became President of Germany on August 19th, 1934. He also founded the Nazi Party in Germany. Immediately Hitler took dictorial powers issuing anti-Jewish laws. During the genocide, six million Jewish people were killed. Many were taken to concentration camps. One of those very famous was by the name of Auschwitz. He started to take over surrounding territories which then led to World War II where he allied with Japan and Italy. During the war, a got thousands of people to believe what he was doing was right.

Winston Churchill was born in 1874. In 1910, Churchill was a British Prime Minister. During World War II and after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Churchill brought together President Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin. Certain that the allied forces would win the war, he worked closely with Roosevelt and Stalin to discuss war strategy and things that are going to happen after the war. After the war, Churchill was defeated in the 1945 election but still pushed to make social reforms for Britain. He gave a very famous speech, the "Iron Curtain" speech which was opposing Easter European communist expansion.

Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32rd president of the United State of America. He was born January 30th, 1882. He was the democratic candidate from the presidency in 1932. He led America in two of her hardest times; the Great Depression and World War II. To expand the federal government, he made many reforms called The New Deal. When World War II when Hitler invaded Poland, he told the American people that we will not become involved with the war unless American was attacked. During the war, a accomplished getting America to support the involvement of the war.

Hideki Tojo was born in 1884. In the beginning of his military career he graduated from the Imperial Japanese Army Academy 42nd our of 50 cadets. Ten years later in 1915, Tojo became the Captain and was based in Germany. In 1940, he became the War Minister. He was a strong supporter of Hitler and hoped that he could follow in his footsteps as to how he rose to power. He led his military to attack the United States at a military based called Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. He was one of the most nitorius leaders to ever rule Japan.

Chiang Kai-Shek was born October 31st, 1887. After his father died, he ran away from home and joined that army. As he became older he founded the Nationalist Party and kicked out the communists. Before America declared war on Japan after Pearl Harbor in 1941, China had been fighting Japan four year prior. Allied Powers

Harry Truman was born in 1884. He became the 33rd president of the United States after the death of Franklin Roosevelt in 1945. During is presidency, he dropped two atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Japan. This ultimately ended World War II. He was one of the most infamous presidents of American history and still won his second term.
